today was a good day.

I'm not really sure why but today I felt more at home. Everything has finally been unpacked or moved to the spare bedroom for storage.

The flies have gone away and it was cooler and rainy. It felt good. I ripped up the carpet in the main bedroom, removed the tack strips and carpet padding. Next will be prying up the staples,  sanding a bit and painting. Wooohooo. 

The dropped ceilings will come down next. No idea how bad the ceilings are but there is a hole that was probably a wood stove vent in the floor and ceiling that will need some creative patching.
